The Sudanese opposition was ready to forge an alliance with the animist and Christian South - there were peace talks in Washington - at the same time (and NOT by coincidence) The Clinton Administration bombed a milk factory (claiming it was a front for making bombs - a charge only the retarded will believe) which had an immediate effect of turning the people who were previously against the Sudan Government into their supporters - apparently the Sudanese government at the time was buying arms from the Americans - and the US only turned 'humanitarian' after The Sudanese stopped buying arms from the US (after they found out that Osama Bin Laden - who was acting as a benefactor to them - was secretly a spy for the Americans - a CIA double Agent - and that the US was also arming the people they were fighting! I guess you yanks are bigger snakes then even the Sudanese!

The party that has committed the most large scale atrocities against the Sudanese are the Lord's People Liberation Army - who happen to be Christian - they apparently have allied with the Sudanese Government as they have a feud with the other tribes in the South. They tend to kidnap children to use as soldiers - as well as cut off the limbs of anyone who refuses to serve in their 'army' - P.S. The US has boasted of killing several members of this 'army' while providing support for their current allies against the government - which means that they are responsible for the wide scale killing of children!

However, for this discussion, these particular savages are not especially involved in the oppression, rape, slavery, mutilations, etc in the Darfur region in particular. Muslim Arabs have long dominated Northern Sudan and its African people who long ago adapted Arab culture, religion, and identity. This is very similar to Egypt.
Muslim Arabs and Afro-Arabs are attempting to impose Islamic Law throughout the Sudan, featuring conquest, mass-slave raiding, mutilations, etc, just as Islamic Law has since around 640AD. Being from India, you should know this!
