My issues with the show

I have two issues with this show.

1) While Drew sometimes specifies "women" or "men" who were polled, the contestant has no idea the age range/race/political persuasion, or a whole range of factors that could influence the response of polled Americans. I would be interested to know how they get their polling data. Watching the show, I noticed that the polling of the audience was sometimes drastically different from the Americans that were polled. What could account for this?

2) Drew tries to persuade the contestants and offers his opinions. I prefer the approach on Who Wants to be a Millionaire, where the host does not get involved beyond reminding the contestants the amount of money they are risking.
