Big waste of time to watch this one!

It was a big waste of time! One of the worst movies I ever watched, nothing adds up and the acting is bad. For instance; The leed actor was 10 years old when he met with the killer for the first time and the killer was then a grown-up. Now when they meet he seems to be about 15 years OLDER than the killer! That's just one example of the credibility of the story. There where so much more that made me sick, Why do they release such rubbish?

I totally agree, and I wish I could get those 90 minutes back!

I can deal with a plot hole or two, but this was ridiculous. The age difference you just mentioned is one thing, but it is also suggested halfway into the movie that there are two killers, one being older than the other. The killer they captured was the younger one doing the auto-mutilation, so which one is the older killer? It can't be our main character, since he is supposed to be younger!

Nevermind that it is suggested that they worked together when they dug up Gretchen Spivey, and neither of them can remember it later... rrright.

It started out pretty decent - if you can forgive the countless clichés, but my personal rating dropped from 6 to 3 in the last 10 minutes.

"The leed actor"
leed ?

"Why do they release such rubbish?"
Who are "they" ?

Why do you muppets even bother to comment on movies ?

That's just two examples of the credibility of the comment

Well, yes, but apart from the bad spelling, the comment is right. The age gap between the 2 actors is ridiculous, the older one is supposed to have met the younger when he was 10 and the other was about 18 - certainly an adult and working. How did that happen? Was there a time-machine sub-plot that got left on the cutting room floor?

reply

I just watched this.

I totally missed the whole age thing.

I have to give it a 5. Not great. Not bad. The cast saved it IMHO.

I swear it was bordering on being a farce/spoof of detective/murder movies. The part where he's up so late he literally passes out onto his files on the floor, the 'enhance...enhance again' computer scene, the dog doing ALL of the work at the end, etc. It was so cliche and over the top I thought it had to be a comedy.

Plus the ending makes NO sense as has been pointed out all over these boards. But hey, I got it in a 10 pack of horror movies for like $7, so it's exactly what I expected...

The dog did all the work. :) He did!

I really laughed when he went home to his tiny apartment with a grocery bag and first thing he does is put on an album and it's John Waite. John Waite. I've never known anybody who owns a John Waite album.

And what was with the bad guy and his fake british accent? Or was it supposed to be Jimmy Cagney in White Heat? So many questions.

reply

John Waite music was the BEST thing about this movie.

Pellegrino was second.
