Witless voting

I'll probably agree somewhat with marvellousmh that this movie will most likely be a pretty bad movie if Delta Farce or Health Inspector is any indication. But I also agree that voting prematurely before seeing a movie is irresponsible as well. What does the rating system for IMDB mean after giving a rating to a movie you haven't seen. It pretty much means nothing. "The Godfather" is the number one movie on the list and has been for quite some time. I've seen it and, sure, it's a good movie, but greatest of all time? Personally, no. But there is this pressure by movie enthusiasts and historians that gives "The Godfather" this aura as being the best of all time.

Recently, I watched "Balls of Fury." After seeing the previews, I thought that the movie would suck something rancid. But after a friend who has decent taste in movies said that it was funny, I decided what the hell. And lo and behold, "Balls of Fury" was hilarious! One of my favorite comedies of the year simply for it's pure sillyness (my vote for best comedy of the year goes to the great "Superbad"). The preview would have tempted me to vote one for it on IMDB. I thought that "Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd" would be hilarious since it is a prequel to one of my all time favorite comedies. But I was severely disappointed, ultimately horrified by that waste of film. Same as with the movie "Man of the Year" with Robin Williams and Lewis Black, two of my favorite comedians.

Now, Witless Protection just may be another horrible movie in the Larry the Cable Guy film catalog, but you just never know. Chances are that I will not like it. But I've been proven wrong many times.

I also disagree with the bickering on here and calling LTCG fans who are eager to see the movie offensive names. I may extremely disagree with what they like, but I think it's wrong to call them names. Let's not turn the IMDB message boards into more of a kindergarten playground.
