Part of the bad guys, or just a red herring? Read some reviews that seem to indicate he's corrupt. Wondered if anyone who's seen the film could comment. "Midnight Run" Is one of my all-time favorite comedies, and it seems crazy to me that the straight-shooting Mosely character Kotto played in that film could turn out to be a corrupt agent in this.

It is very odd, and I've seen surprisingly few references to it despite the popularity of the original film. He is identified as Alonso Monsley in the film, which seems like it would violate some kind of copyright. Very strange.
I do know the original studio threatened to sue, or did sue, over unauthorized use of the character, and that led to the change in name. No I also don't think Mosley would turn dirty, it was just one more offensive way this film could violate the legacy of a real comedy.
