MySpace? Really?

I know they're trying to keep the movie as updated as possible (circa 2009). And while the rules of relationships is timeless it's best just to keep the very mention of technology of that era as generic as possible rather than having to mention it at all.

Call me a douche but people are going to laugh at the very mention "MySpace" today. I mean kids today would call it a dinosaur of social media.

Yeah I thought it was kinda lame when she said that the guy myspaced her.

I even watched it in the theater thinking "people still use myspace??" lol they all looked too old to use myspace, imo.

It was outdated, which is why her gay co-worker said "ooh, my trampy little sister said that MySpace is the new booty call". So, yes it was outdated.

You guys must have really been scratching your heads during the scene in the pharmacy with the two characters yearning for the days of landline phones and answering machines. Yikes, what kind of stone-age technology was that?

I think part of the joke was that dating is more complicated because of all the new technologies involved. I recently got divorced so I had to ask my single friends what everyone was using these days because when I met my ex, Match.com was the thing, now its Tinder and Plenty of Fish unless you want a hipster in which case okCupid is the way to go. I also had to set up instagram and snapchat accounts because apparently facebook and twitter weren't enough. It actually made me miss AOL where pretty much everything was at one spot.
