Makes many of the same things it critizes
I saw Upa! beliving, as it was advertised, that it was a comedy witch, simply put, tells a story.
First of all, the movie is not a comedy. It's not funny, I even wonder why it's clasiffied as comedy.
But the issue is that just telling a story is not enough. You need (if we are talking about classic story telling here, as they say) to identify yourself with a caracter. You need suspense, tension. Nothing of that happens in the movie.
As for the critism over Argentinian cinema, is not enough to put a song in the end and a couple actors saying what the director(s) think. What I mean is, if you want to write an essay... then write an essay, don't put that essay as a couple lines in a movie.
