Laura Dern was brilliant

Her portrayal of Katherine Harris was right on the money. She seemed to think the whole process was an opportunity to be a television star. I'm sure she is a reasonably intelligent woman but unfortunately that was overshadowed by her personal deficencies - vanity and megalomania.

You're doing a helluva job Brownie - Dubya

Here, here!

I thought Dern deserved the Emmy last night. And the make-up department did a hell of a job making a very attractive woman look like piss poor graffiti.

I just watched a video on YouTube where Harris got on Hannity and Colmes crying out that she was targeted unfairly. She claimed the writer admittedly "made up quotes" for her character.

What was he supposed to do, as she constantly refused to be interviewed regarding this? Seriously, every other major player in this film at least met with the filmmakers. Harris denied them every opportunity to hear her side, and then whines about inaccuracy.

Okay. Now I'm going to do his teeth and cut off his fingers. You might want to leave room.

She was great..let me google Harris know to see if she liked it

And it doesn't reflect well on Hollywood that she is not on the A-list. Bad for Hollywood but great for fans of quality HBO films and David Lynch (and the very talented Ms Dern).

Miss Dern is very talented. No question about it.

She made me want to punch Katherine Harris in the face repeatedly, so yeah, she did an excellent job to make me hate her character that much.

I've never seen Laura Dern stretch her acting muscles like she did in Recount. She was hilarious! I hardly recognized her which was a tribute to the make up, and her brilliant acting.
