Oozing with Liberal Bias

Republicans are seen as either vile, heartless, absurd and even lacking intelligence. Democrats are seen as always the ones to take the higher ground, fighting against the big man, empathetic toward those who are being underserved, and most importantly played by all the likable A-listers (Spacey and Leary).

However, the MOST IMPORTANT EVIDENCE that this is a liberally biased film is the music. Pay attention to the musical cues. Sad mixed tones occur when the democrats lose a decision. Triumphant tones happen when they begin to regroup.

This is not an unbiased film.

Did we see the same movie? I had a pile of books, both liberal conservative or neither (legal briefs and opinions only) from the six months after the Supreme Court ruled. Most of these quotes were direct from operatives of the campaigns or the courts. I was expecting this to be extemely biased and shocked that it wasn't considering how late it come out.

Then again, I'm a lib who still think Gore should have considered the election lost as soon as he hung up the telephone after conceding the election so /shrug

Well to be fair, that's kinda what happened. This movie is a perfect microcosm of the modern American political system.

The Democrats had the more principled arguments but the Republicans were so much better at navigating the political and judicial systems. That's why the Democrats are treated so favorably yet the Republicans won. This dichotomy is emblematic of both parties.

Republicans play to win. They aren't afraid to appeal to the lowest common denominator. No tactic is off the table and they are world class mudslingers.

Democrats generally have broader, more appealing arguments and policies. Democrats often lose even though they have more principled policies because they don't want to get their hands dirty and duke it out in the gutter. They think they're above that.

And BTW, this is coming from a registered Republican who likes the result but absolutely hates how this fiasco unfolded. No election should be decided like this.

Well said. Sorta.
