Why doesn't she do most of her job separate from her home than maybe alex would not have walked in on her. She said in the first season that she keeps her life separate from her life as a hooker, so why she so incredibly stupid? She should have kept her job with clients at hotels like any normal hooker who has a separate life.

Take the show for what it is, a comedy/drama. Not a doco.
In the book, which is her actual account of being a prositute, she ONLY sees clients outside of her home. She is also quite intelligent, having a doctorate. The show seems to dumb her down a lot.
