Thank you.
Torture Room is based on current news reports of secret torture chambers and detention centers found in Europe and America and how human rights are being violated under the patriot act. It follows an American woman who is picked up for having an Arab boyfriend who named her as a contact while he was being tortured. The woman is detained without being formally charged and all of her rights both legal and human are pushed aside in the name of homeland security. She is interrogated, tortured and brainwashed in a secret facility by the agents of an anonymous government subcontractor. They want her to become an informant.
It is a disturbing and timely film. In fact, almost everyday there is a new report of things like this happening. It looks like we have distribution through Shoreline Pictures. We have already entered a few festivals.
On the less heavy side, I also wrote "30,000 Leagues Under the Sea" which is coming out in September, staring Lorenzo Lamas. That is through The Asylum.
But so far, of all the films I've made, Torture Room is the one that I am most proud of.
