Im just curious. Is this a remake of the 1971 fear chamber movie or something else?

Fear Chamber starring Richard Tyson is not a remake. It's about a serial killer who disembowels his victims and a detective on his trail, who experiences nightmarish hallucinations. Here's the youtube trailer:
