This flick has porno style acting… (Or AT LEAST Soap Opera acting) WAY over mellow-dramatic.
Detective Ferguson is a really unlikable jerk off. For that matter, NO ONE in this movie is really likeable.
The storyline is flimsy as all hell. And a villain who looks like Ron Jeremy in Insane Clown Posse makeup. However, I did like the quick edits & the sound design; They were quite effective.
The editing and sound effects elevate this film from sub-standard hard boiled detective film to a watchable film… (And I only paid a buck & a quarter for it) If I had spent more then that, I’d feel I got screwed.
This film also benefited by having Miranda Kwok as Kathryn. She seems to be a competent actress, and I think she’s a hunny. >:o)
But all in all (are you ready for the bad pun?) If you’ve seen Saw, you’ve seen this.

Yeah, I bought this crap in that horror collection boxset and was disappointed. I liked the cinematography and I actually thought the main actor had talent. But this neither had scares or suspense. And to top it off, a huge lot of stuff is left unanswered.
