WiC vs. WiC:SA
Is Soviet Assault simply a port to the 360 & PS3, with an extra couple maps, or is it a completely new game/expansion?

Well, this is the best way to explain it:
Soviet Assault was announced as more of a mission pack, than an expansion pack.
Since WiC was already released on PC, Soviet Assault will be released as a mission pack, and will be free to download.
For the consoles (X360 and PS3), they are getting a port of the game that will simply be called World in Confict: Soviet Assault, and will include the original game along with the mission pack.
It should have already been released, but Massive Entertainment hit a snag, when Activision-Blizzard decided to cut em loose. Thankfully, Ubisoft (who are a very good publisher) acquired Massive Entertainment and all their games, so Soviet Assault is scheduled to be released in Q1 of this year. :)
*edit* It turns out, the PS3/X360 versions were cancelled, it's only getting a PC release.
