Last scene in the prison is completely unrealistic

In reality, the prisoners wouldn't stop beating on the guards just because the red light went off. They probably wouldn't stop until all the guards were dead or at least knocked out cold.

You know how after a basketball game or soccer game, there will be a riot outside the stadium, even during the game and inside the arena. Does ending the game ends the riot? Sounding the buzzer people will suddenly stop fighting? Nope they continued until police broke them up.

That is just a sport, maybe the riot starts because of a wrong call on the player or some player elbowed the opposing team. In this movie someone peed on your face, beat you up, violated your human rights. They would need a lot of police outside the prison to break up the riot.

You are totally right... That is why I like Das Experiment better (with many other reasons, such as showing what happened with the scientists and why they didn't stop the experiment)...

Rioters are not in a controlled environment. The "prisoners" in this experiment were fighting for their lives after a fellow prisoner was murdered and another was raped. When the fighting was happening, the guards had been trying to escape, they no longer wanted to fight. At various times, both sides just wanted the experiement to end. When the red light went on and the door opened, there was no need to continue fighting as they all had their freedom, which was what they all wanted by the end anyway.

Retribution for humiliation was the reason to keep fighting. The reason to cripple and maim. To kill. Pride and vengeance.

You can bet your ass I would still be beating on Barris' face until it was nothing more than runny jello after what they had done. Then I would move on to the next guard.
