Never seen the original , I REALLY LIKED this movie!

Never read up on the Stanford Prison Experiment, nor seen the docs or original films...

That being said, I really got INTO this movie...very INTENSE! the character by Forrest Whitaker (Barris), I can't remember the last time I hated a "villian" so much in a film, since maybe Hanz Landa from Inglorious Basterds (and that's saying a lot considering that man won an OSCAR for that role). Although I will say it felt a bit "rushed" toward the end and in the beginning credits there is mention of both a book & a foreign film...which I plan to check out...

I don't want to come off like a negative Nancy, but seriously...watch the original. A lot of the elements were present, especially in casting, for this one...but this movie turned to complete crap, when they conclusion came. The conclusion is so contrived and so insulting to the audience. The screenwriter shouldn't be allowed to write anything anymore.

I actually agree with you.
I also never seen the original and i'm not really planning to do it.
Anyway, i thought the acting was great, maybe some loose ends but i thought they were totally forgetable.
I loved it.

Same rules apply *laughs hysterically*
