Amazing film...

I was lucky enough to get to see this film last night and I thought it was truly amazing. I didn't want it to end. The acting was impeccable, especially John Hurt and Jonathan Tucker. Please find a way to see it, you will thank me when you do! (at least I hope you will!)

It's a very long time since I've seen "The Naked Civil Servant". But, from what I can remember, I think I preferred that to this... It had an interesting, sort of fantasy style to it. Whereas this was a more conventional autobiographical film... Having said that, I did enjoy this... I didn't really know anything about Mr Crisp's life in New York, apart from the Sting song and the fact that he lived in a little [dusty!] flat. So, it was interesting... John Hurt was, as always, very good and Jonathan Tucker's performance was really rather lovely.

Just wanted to add my vote for this superb film. No car chases. No guns. No special effects (how refreshing!) Just brilliant character acting. Thankyou John Hurt for bringing Quentin alive again.
It's about time John Hurt was a Sir, don't you think?......come on Queenie......
