Almost every horror movie since "haloween" has the same ending...out of 1000 horrorflicks since 999 of them has the so called "surprise ending" that the monster,killer,psycho,ghost or whatever has their way...sure its perfect for a sequel but the sequel can be made anyway...just a few good horrorflicks that has the same ending in my point of view
Alien Raiders
Ghost Ship
Eden Lake
Candyman
Dead Silence
Saw
Just to mention a few of the 999

Well, just speaking for this movie, even though the ending was predictable and left room for a sequel, it was still thrilling and entertaining and I highly recommend it.
