I bought this at Big Lots for $3.00. I had never heard of it before but it looked fun and had a few actors that I like (journalist from Dexter and C-Note from Prison Break). Watched it with no expectations and thought it was pretty dang good. It is a fun watch and was better than more than a few horror movies I watched in the theater and paid a heck of a lot more for.

I watched it because it stars Tony Almeida. Because it was a straight to dvd sci-fi/horror flick, I was expecting it to be pretty bad but it definitely was a pleasant surprise. Pretty damn good. Smartly written and well made for it's budget. Very entertaining. It was clearly influenced by The Thing as it has a LOT in common with that movie. And you know what? I thought it was damn near as good.
Almeida is damn good in the movie too even though he's essentially playing the same character.
