I accually recommended this to a teenage couple to watch!

So, I am at BlockBLIster Video one night a few years back, and I had just watched this darkly comedic gem. I see this couple, around 16 years old, looking for a movie to watch. I accually recommended this movie to them to watch. The girl looks at the cover, and looks at me. She says, "What the hell kind of a movie is this?" I just respond by saying, "Just watch it". Her boyfriend is now looking at it. He asks me "Is it supposed to be a comedy?" I respond by saying, "Darkly". I watch them take it out and leave the store.

As of today, I wonder what they thought of it?

Someone did the same thing to me with the movie Catfish. They said, "Don't look it up, don't read anything about it, just watch it, just watch it right now." I did exactly as they said. I went into it knowing absolutely nothing about it and honestly. It made me enjoy it so much more. So many people need to look up a movie and read all the reviews before they watch it. Why? So they can be told what they're supposed to think about it before forming their own opinion, that's *beep* Why do people need to be told what to think about something by other people before they can form their own opinion? I have a friend that does this constantly. If I tell him to check out a tv show or movie he'll go online and read a dozen reviews of it first. Then he'll tell me that he's not interested if it had bad reviews. I can think of dozens of films that got bad reviews that I absolutely loved. Why let other people decide what your opinions are? That's an idiotic way to go through life.
