The end really killed me *spoilers*

I was watching this movie on the TV.

It started really weird but it continued nicely.

It was between a dumb yet nice comedy and a movie in which they crashed a prison van to help the prisoner escape so they can kidnap him and torture him,and ended up having a guy who was in for tax fraud, and of course i don't remember its name.

However, the damn ending killed me,they seemed to have done a really nice movie until i saw the ending.

Seriously, they shot the door? And it ended?

Otis was too upset to go to work so chances are the guy they killed was irrelevant.

Give me a break, that was a really sloppy end,as sloppy as the endings of the TV Series episodes which you don't care if they give you closure as you have the next episode to see.

I watched this earlier on AMC and I watched the whole thing on AMC's Halloween marathon, but I have to admit it really did fail at what it was trying to accomplish.

It was supposed to be a dark comedy that parodies horror/serial killer films but it pretty much crapped out towards the middle and is so uneven in tone. It was a fun, kind of entertaining movie but nothing to write home about.

And yeah - I rewatched the end - and it looks like Otis is the dead pizza delivery guy. His face is covered but hes clearly a big guy and fat. It doesn't make much sense why Otis - who knows the address, phone numbers, names of, etc. - of the people hes delivering pizza to and was the main reason he kidnapped Riley going into a buzz-saw goes willingly, maybe hes just totally suicidal at that point. He only associates with two people on Earth: his now-dead brother and "Kim." Maybe he wants to die.

And the fact that he didn't seem to go to work unless his brother made him tells me it wasn't him. Sometimes the ambiguous ending is a good thing but in this case I feel like it was just lazy and stupid. Add to it that the retarded sociopathic brother just discharged a shotgun in a residential area, multiple times through the fackin front door, I don't think the father needs to worry about going to prison anymore. I don't know if it's true in every state but in my state it's mandatory prison time for discharging a firearm in a residential area. I really kind of liked the movie up until then too. I feel like I just ordered a delicious banana split and watched in anticipation as it was brought to my table only to have a bowl full of crap placed in front of me.

^ Pretty much sums it up.

Great premise. Decent script. But the whole movie just imploded on itself and became crap. I don't regret watching it but I'll never sit through it for a second viewing.

On reflection, it's obvious that Otis has survived and is waiting for the sequel. All we are shown is a large dead pizza delivery person. Not the person's face, not their car.

Yeah, the ending sucked. Overall the film was pretty uneven for me. Great premise and a solid cast but through most of the film the way the characters behaved seemed off kilter and odd and not in a way that enhanced the film. It felt like the filmmakers wanted to make a black comedy but didn't quite know how to execute it.

What are words for when no one listens anymore
