Body Melt

I don't believe this movie was mentioned in NQH, probably because it was made in 1993 and after the original Ozploitation era had ended. I haven't actually seen it but remember seeing trailers when it was new and used to see it at the video store, but never bothered to rent it out a bit too outrageous.

Anyone seen it, or was it shown in NQH and I missed it?

It was ok. I saw it as a kid, but I remember it being fun enough.

Sorry, but ... what is "NQH", please?

NQH = Not Quite Hollywood

Re: your signature of sobriety -- GOOD job! But, isn't AA membership supposed to remain on the DL?

I've seen it also. I used to have a copy, and I still may under the pile of tapes in my living room. It's a decent low-budget thriller. I had forgotten it was an Australian film.

A really good, low budget horror movie, but outside the NQH era.

Starring a lot of great Australian actors known for their work on television--Gerard Kennedy is excellent as the detective trying to figure out what is going on, and Ian Smith, Harold from "Neighbours", playing a mad scientist.

Also the legendary Vincent Gill -- always a welcome sight in anything and plays it to the hilt in this picture--also Tommy Dysart, best known for the 'gogomobile' Yellow Pages ad, Lisa McCune and William McInnes (both who come to very sticky ends) -- the movie filmed in Werribee, the site of another Australian classic, "Mad Max".
