misogyny

for a movie that's supposed to be about men and homosexuality, theres constant mention of women in it. the casual misogyny is quite repulsive. Korean society (all societies globally really) is practically founded on hatred of it's women but it's especially prominent in it's despicableness here, instead of empathetic. I liked the move for what it was but it marred an otherwise enjoyable film.

Thank you for your comment, although I must admit you are a bit wrong. Yes, Korean society is quite misogynistic due to its deep roots in agrarian culture. All agrarian societies are deeply misogynistic. Don't worry, in 100 years Korea will grow out of it.

As for the movie - I would say it is not exactly misogynistic since they show the bad side of guys as well. This movie is about gay guys, so women just cannot be good by default. Not your typical rom-com.

But I do love the passion.

you contradict yourself. you agree with my statement then you "admit you are a bit wrong"? I didn't admit anything, if you disagree with me you are free to do so, but do not presume to speak for me. (I don't know if this error comes from a lack of skill, is english your primary language?) I am Korean, by the way.

also, you are wrong, it is very misogynistic. it is not about showing the bad or good side of anyone. it's about hatred against women, regardless of how they are portrayed.

1. I wrote "I must admit you are a bit wrong." It means "I think you are a bit wrong." Notice, I did not write, "you are totally wrong" or "you have to admit that you are wrong." I think you misunderstood me.

2. Please give me three different examples to illustrate that hatred against women you mentioned. If you give me at least three examples, I will admit that this movie is very misogynistic (I will say it, not you).

3. If you are Korean Korean (not American Korean), would you mind answering some questions about Korean culture for me?

Thanks in advance.
