Just another demon?? he seemed so nice at first,thats why I wasnt expecting that ending.

Alal is the demon of deceit and lies he is also a symbol of there handicapped son

And that is the reason he offered Scarlett an apple, just like these types of Demons did once to Eve. This film was clever on little hints like that. Samael was the Angel of Death and Lilith, the first wife of Adam who left him for Lucifer.

He was a symbol of them covering up killing their own child. That is why they kept pesistanting on her killing him
