Ray Stevenson post Rome

Great to see Ray Stevenson back on the box, he is well on his way to becoming a good actor. Why he chose this particular script? I thought it was daft and had to watch it twice to make sense of it.

Same with Life on Mars. When the BBC deals with these 'other dimension' type of storylines, they seem to think the british public will watch anything no matter how incredulous.Ray Stevenson, Adrian Rawlins excellent, the script and everything else nonsense. And that futuristic house!! Oh please, I bet it never gets dirty, or sees the backside of a cleaner.

I confess I did watch it because I remembered Ray from Rome, and it did seem a bit incredulous - the basic idea of Lifeline. But you know, with a script like that you have to take on board at an early stage that very idea and go with it. Otherwise the whole thing is just gonna be making you tut and shake your head the whole way through.
Great twist at the end though. Glad I taped it mind you, as I felt I had to watch the ending again to make sure I 'got it all'.

As for Life On Mars...well, that was just an incredible series. Do I believe you can wake up in 1973? Probably not, but it was a great idea and kept you guessing til the end. So well made.

You are so cruel!! Are you saying he was ropey until recently?

"Huckleberry Hound! What, are you nuts?"
"It's been suggested."

Of course not. Good actors never reach perfection, they learn from each and every role. I knew Ray was talented from long ago, saw him in a Catherine Cookson piece. Also at home with the Braithwaites.Excellent. I think what I meant to say was that he will become more exposed, therefore be offered bigger and better parts and then he will be able to pick and choose his roles. Perhaps I meant successful, you know, critical acclaim and commercial success.
