Two-mile high island

At some point in the series, they talk about an island that looks completely devoid of human habitation - huge cliffs rising straight out of the sea to form a plateau.
They say it is almost two miles high, but I can't find any reference to an island with that altitude in the Galapagos. Anyone know which island they were talking about?

I think you are referring to the island which is in fact a part of a huge volcano, which is mostly under see. I remember they talked about how high the volcano was, and the island was included in that number.
