The End (Spoilers)

Ok so am just a little confused, yes I know what happened - I watched it - but I didn't quite get it.

Two questions

1) Why did Mao revert to being a feral cat (oh and nice catch at the end where they're obviously going to try and restore him for any potential sequels)

2) What the heck did Amber and Pai do that saved everything? Did she just turn back time and if so wtf was that dream sequence all about?

reply

1. Most of Maos data is backed up on a hard-drive because a human brain holds more info than a cats brain. The syndicate destroyed the hard-drive so Mao could not lead Hei any closer to the core.

2. Amber reversed time before all the contractors were wiped out and Pai gave her powers to Hei so he could stop the syndicates plan. The dream sequence was Hei's way to decide if he would become a full contractor or a full human, and he choose to be both.

reply

Kind of what I thought happened but glad to actually read it, I didn't get that Pai gave her powers to Hei but then I did get slightly distracted in the middle by my own cat.

Since it's been confirmed that there's an OVA coming it seems. I'm wondering if that shot of them finding Mao was so they can bring him back. That would mean they only missing person from the team would be Huang. Though in all fairness we never saw a body - lol grasping at straws here...

So at the end, contractors still exist right? I know theres gonna be an OVA anyone know wheres coming out?

Oh one last question, Amber renumeration was gettin younger right? So know she just dissappears like that....

reply

Yeah, Hei saved the contractors. The OVA is going to be released with the final Japanese DVD volume.

And Amber just turned into an egg, probably.

here's another question that has probably not been answered in the series but still... Why did the real stars disapeared and what exactly are the gates? I liked the show but too many unanswered questions. Or at least i dind't get some of the answers

reply

My thoughts exactly. There's too many questions left.....so I hope they do some more seasons.

reply

I don't like the idea of extending shows for a lot of seasons, but I agree there are just too many questions left unanswered.

Questions regarding the contractors, stars, gates, and many other things came up in the beginning of the season and were never answered. Although I enjoyed the anime, this was pretty much of a letdown to me.

reply

Personally, I like the fact that they left it so open ended. This way it still keeps some of the mystery behind the gates.

One question. This new series "Gemini of the Meteor" ocurres 2 years after what we see at the end of this series. They refer at the "happening" in this ending as "the Tokyo Explosion" I think. Is there even any explosion? They avoided precisely an explosion...

It's been bugging me since the beggining of Gemini.. Thanks!

reply

I started Gemini last night and was thinking the same thing. I think there was a little explosion when Hei changed the anti-Gate particles (I thought it said 'anti-gay' at least three times ) into something that ended up causing a small explosion in the Jupiter reactor thing. Nothing that affected the city, though. The other Contractors caused more damage than Hei did.

reply

Too bad I'm completely out of synch with the series now.. I didn't even finished gemini a year back, now that I think about it.

Maybe someone else could help you clear that thing out.. cheers

reply

You should be happy you didn't because it frankly isn't even worth watching.
