Not Gonna Lie

I'm not gonna lie, episode 3 sucked hard.

It wasn't the choice of evil competitors, but the arguments themselves that sucked. I was expecting something intelligent, but all I was met with were fantastical and stupid diatribes of retarded fancy.

What about the fact that more deaths can be attributed in one day to alcohol than in 100 years of marijuana use?

It was a badly written episode for sure. I really hope it improves because I really like Lewis Black and have been hoping for him to do something great for 5 years, and so far... sadly, this isn't it.

I'm sure that would have had the crowd rolling in laughter.

What they said wasn't in the least funny though because it was simply untrue. People tend to laugh when they realize something is true but in a way they had not thought of before.

Bill Hicks had no problem having people rolling in laughter about Marijuana harming no one and alcohol destroying everything.

"Pot is a better drug than alcohol, fffact, and I'll proove it to you. You're at a ball game, you're at a concert and someone's really violent and obnoxious, are they drunk or are they smoking pot?" (crowd:DRUNK) "The one and only correct answer, tell them what they've won Johnny. I've never seen people on pot get in a fight because... it is f#cking impossible! 'hey buddy!' 'Hey what?'... end of argument. Say you're in a car accident and you've been smoking pot, you're only going four miles an hour! RRRRRBOOM! Sh!t we hit something.' 'Forgot to open the garage door.'" -Bill Hicks "Relentless" (Crowd laughing uproariously, not a laugh track and they are laughing at drunk driving killing people vs. pot being harmless.) A good comedian can make you laugh. No. Matter. What.

These guys either suck, or the format is all wrong, or both, but especially both. Marijuana and beer are the funniest subjects they could ever have, maybe a little overused, but still funny. They *beep* it all up.

It's "must have", "should have", "could have", and "would have". For God's sake there's no "of".

Not gonna lie, this is a stupid comedy show on Comedy Central, not a debate show on CNN.

I expect more from Lewis Black, and rightly so.
