Makes absolutely no sense

Even with it's supernatural element, it was distracting how everyone was completely oblivious after seeing a ghost of their friends and acted as if nothing happened. The movie becomes less creepy when the character themselves doesn't feel the least bit scared by what they saw. It was silly how Marilyn walks into a somewhat clean restroom only to walk back in and it's filthy and dirty and she reacted like nothing happened when she saw the ghost of her friend. The nerd character, I don't remember his name, reacted the same way. Even the army dude reacted the same way with his brother. Wouldn't you think something creepy is going on if the person sitting in the car next to you suddenly vanish into thin air? Every acted like nothing creepy was happening all around them and it completely ruins the atmosphere of the movie.

A movie based on a rest stop killer is creepy but when it turns out to be nothing more than a ghost who somehow can carry a body back with him to his torture chamber..blah, it makes absolutely no sense. They ruined a good idea.

I thought this had good amounts of gore and it was nice knowing a little more about the history of that rv family. Marilyn getting a drill thru her leg and then later walking around was BAD WRITING. at least the writers did something right by letting Jared [nerd kid] stay injured

Rob Zombie is one of the greatest directors today
