Is this movie a Religious Satire

I have a strong feeling that this movie is a Satire on religion and not about smoking. Smoking may be interpreted as one particular religion, and non smokers are another religion. And the brother being punished, wife being killed etc., are superstitious beleifs arising out of guilt caused by crossing the religious boundaries (sins).Anyhow will have to watch it a few more times to corroborate my intuition with proper logic. Few pointers which are prompting me to think like that are the Burkha Clad Receptionists, the Vermilion smeared heads of Baba's followers, the Words In-Fidel Castrated etc. Anyways like all mfm's (mind *beep* movies) this also I am sure this one also has multiple layers or dimensions in its plot.
