HILARIOUS... gets better with repeat viewings

Brutal Massacre is the kind of movie that is entirely dependent upon your expectations and your frame of mind when first watching it. If you're expecting to see something on a par with This Is Spinal Tap, you're going to be disappointed. But the fact is that nothing Rob Reiner, Christopher Guest or anyone else involved with This Is Spinal Tap have done subsequently comes close either.

The humor in Brutal Massacre is a little dry, and for that reason I think a lot of people don't pick up on the subtlety of the humor--but it is there. How anyone who is a bona fide horror movie fanatic couldn't find this movie at least enjoyable is beyond me. Unless, of course, they're purists who frown upon poking fun at the genre, in which case they could come away a bit offended (as a lot of rockers come away offended by the portrayals in This Is Spinal Tap).

The movie has a lot going for it, including a great supporting cast with actors like Gerry Bednob, Ken Foree, and 2 of the 3 gals from The Evil Dead. It gets better with repeat viewings, too.

Just my thoughts. I think more people should give it a chance.

I really dont think I will enjoyed it if I re-watch it. It was 94 mins of pain. Where there any humour at all? Maybe it evaporated into thin air?

It's not the worst movie I've ever seen, but then again, I've seen a lot, and there is a lot of *beep* movies. This did not stink that much, but to me it was just boring, flat and it did not go anywhere. I dont think anyone misses out on something if they dont see this one, sorry.....
