Not a GREAT Movie BUT.........

Okay so the movie isn't going to win any outstanding achievement awards, so? If you have already watched it, you have done so under the radar so to speak. Like me you have seen a version that is not the finished product. However I think it is safe to say that although it isn't a great movie it is a "popcorn movie". I personally found it entertaining. It isn't any worse than Wrong Turn or Bug and the characters are alot easier to look at.

I personally liked most of the acting. I think the lead was well played. However I honestly do not think DeNiro & Streep could have turned this into a great film. It is what it is.

I think that bashing it prior to seeing the actual LEGAL finished version, is a shame. In the advice of Thumper's mom "If You Don't Have Anything Nice To Say, Don't Say Anything At All".

Don't be a tard. This is as good as the movies gets. It sux and will not get better and if I want to say something not nice about this movie, I will shill.

"Don't be a tard"? WTF...are you like...9 years old? How offensive. You can say something "not nice"...(I believe the grown-ups call that negative) just be ready for people to defend.
Why is there so much hate on these message boards for this movie? Every other site that has reviewed the movie has mostly positive reviews.

The movie just sucks, there's no way around it, it's like watching a porno without the nudity.

I totally agree. This isn't Shakespeare but it never claimed to be. Definitely worth a view. I really dug the Deliverance angle and the chics were hot. Loved the hottie kicking butt and doing some serious chopping on the red neck yahoos. Good gore always helps. I'll reserve final thoughts until the actual dvd release version. But I was into it.

It's an awful movie. For a film about inbreds raping kidnapped girls there is very little in the way of horror.

And when that girl escaped through the hole in the ground that was the toilet was hilarious. One minute she's clawing her way through pi** and sh*t and the next she's outside with barely an ounce of dirt on her. Made me laugh though.

namco, I thought the same thing.

I know it's not 500 yards of sh*t smelling foulness (haha), but c'mon, at least make her look like she crawled out through a toilet.
