What happened?

I was watching this movie until I I had to leave at the part when Kumar just told (I forgot the man but it was the one married to the poseesed woman) that she was the ghost. Can anyone tell me what happens afterwards?

"Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn."

She dances, the ghost takes over her body apparently because the man she's married to seems like soeone she hated( a king that killed her lover) she agrees to leave the woman if she gets to kill him, and ends up killing his dummy and leaving... But man, you missed the most thrilling parts... Ya,go to youtube, and for full summary go to wikipedia...

No,you are wrong! The people in the house think that there is a ghost. There isn't. Avni is not possessed. She is suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder. She thinks that she is Manjulika. The dance scene and killing the king is a vision of her imagining this. In the past she was told stories by her grandmother who she loved very much. Fantasizing about these stories (about magic and witches)meant everything to her because of the grandmother. When the grandmother becomes ill the father decides to take Avni to the US and leave the grandmother behind. She didn't want to be seperated from her. This causes her first attack. But the father does force her to do so against her wishes and traumatizes her especially when the grandma dies. In the palace she gets lost in the tales of the palace (like she did in her youth) and is convinced she is Manjulika. The excorcism ritual is done to mislead Avni.

All of this is explained by Akshay in the movie. Weren't you paying attention!

Those were shadows of Avni herself who along with her husband had gone to see the palace at the same time that the 2 guys (Paresh Rawal and Asrani) go to fetch the keys which Paresh had left behind. They misinterpreted the shadows as that of the ghost.
