I ear good things but I'm not a CLAMP fan. Their artwork is too cutesy for me and they tend to aim at the female population.

Clamp only did the character models, not the story.

And the first season is excellent, a lot of plots that intertwine to the nice finally.

When you get to R2 on the other hand is when the show gets pretty bad.

I found R2 excellent until the whole "geassing god" thing. The rest of the series was still great to watch, especially episode R2-25, which had an amazing mecha battle after lots of terrible ones in R2, and ending.

The characters do look a bit weird, but the story and action are top-notch and not girly at all, and it just keeps getting better and better as it goes on, never a dull moment.

I haven't seen it, but i've heard that R2 is pretty good, just not as good as the first series.

I am new to anime and only assumed all anime was pokemon and dragon ball z.

Not my cup of tea.

After watching Death Note, Monster, and Code Geass, I can confirm that this show is head and shoulders above most television. It is stellar. People don't like R2, I personally think it is better than R1, and I loved R1. Maybe because I watched both series back to back with no break.

There are hundreds of reviews on this show. So why don't you go make a decision for yourself instead of begging for people to spoon feed you answers?

It's a crap anime with boring story and one-dimensional characters.
