Should have won Best Director Oscar over Gravity

Should this have won the Oscar for best director? I think so. It's a better sculpted film then Gravity, which won that year.

Gravity was a rollercoaster ride.... A spectacle... a one-trick pony... The Wolf of Wall Street is an actual film.

Now that it's been a few years since these movies came out, what do you think? Did the academy get it wrong?

They did.

This movie should have won a TON of Oscars, not just Best Director.

This film is phenomenal, and one of Scorsese's best!

I’d much rather DiCaprio had won for this, a vibrant and compelling performance, than for The Revenant, a thoroughly enjoyable film but hardly Oscar-worthy work by the actor.

I prefer several un-nominated achievements but of the nominees, Scorsese or Steve McQueen were streets ahead of Cuaron.

The biggest headacratcher is how ever The Wolf of Wall Street was not nominated for its flashy editing.
