What no sequel?

I for sure thought they’d make several.

reply

Nope, it wasn't received too well and didn't do great business in the box office. Although if you are interested they've turned it into a TV show with Esme Creed-Miles (daughter of Samantha Morton) as Hanna and Joel Kinnaman in the Eric Bana role. It seemed to have gotten decent reviews.

reply

I thought it did good. In the box. I thought they had several sequels planned out but for whatever reason they axed it. I know they have a tv show and hate the idea that they cancelled the movies and went on with a series. I dont think Saoirse can be replaced.

reply

They could easily have brought Hanna into the Jason Bourne story and made a film where she turned out to be the daughter of Bourne and Nicky Parsons. But no they would never do anything that required that kind of imagination.

reply

Well they couldnt even have imagination for a sequel let alone an assemble.

reply

They only make sequels when they think they can make money. Hanna didn't do well so they were unwilling to take the risk.

reply

Yea so why not just make a million star wars, lord of the rings, harry potter, gone with the wind?

reply

Sometimes I like it when things are one-and-done. It's nice when they tell a story and don't milk it to death. It's been too long since I watched Hanna, so I don't remember how open the story was for a sequel, but I think not having one is okay. I'll just rewatch Hanna some day.

reply

The movie was clearly made for a sequel. Their shouldve been one. The fact that they opted for a tv series clearly proves this.

reply

They made a TV show of Fargo, too.

But I defer to your more solid knowledge on Hanna.

reply

Yea so clearly it shouldnt have stopped at one.
