I decided to be fair and watch the movie again. I still don't like it. The biggest issue is the lack of payoff for all the story elements and characters.
A heist? The biggest taker ain't living to enjoy it.
A friend held captive by zombies? Sure you can save her, but who cares of she survived the helicopter crash.
A love interest? Just twist get head around two seconds later.

The movie had too much ambition and too many characters with no payouts and bad writing .

This is it., This is the primary issue with the movie imo. As a long-standing zach snyder fan, the lack of payoff is the issue, and it's very noticeable in this movie.

Agree. The guy who tried to screw them over (the dude who wanted the zombie’s head), he gotten eaten by the Tiger when they could have had some scene with one of our protagonists took him out.
