oh thanks. i mustn't have been as affected by that movie as others then. i heard other people quoting that movie before. i guess i just enjoyed it and moved on.

In the history of pc correctness / woke / cancel culture, the removal of expressions like this may be considered an interesting early development.

It's fascinating because it purely plays off "Japaneasy" being a stupid made up rhyming word. There's clearly no racial slur, nothing intended to or could be perceived as being offensive yet - as per the film - you cannot say that anymore. Cancelled.
