None of these geniuses stopped to think how much $200M in cash weighs?

If my calculations are correct. $1M in hundred dollar bills weighs 22 pounds. 22 x 200 = 4400 pounds.

Nearly 2 tonnes they would have had to lug from the vault and transport on the helicopter which I believe is a Bell UH-1 Iroquois "Huey" variant. A helicopter that weighs 5215 lbs empty with a max take off weight of 9500 lbs. 9500-5215-4400 = -115. It wasn't even capable of taking off with just the money, let alone a pilot or fuel or any of the geared 10 man team (assuming no one died during the mission) lol.

Absolute morons couldn't see from the start they were getting screwed. Though I feel the pilot was the most negligent here. She should have asked some basic questions as she was in charge of the escape and hopefully knew how helicopters work...

There is definitely irony in calling people morons and then writing "much much" in the title of your post.

reply

So you don't get irony. That's ok.

reply

There was no irony intended.

reply

Oh please forgive me oh great master who's never made a mistake typing. Sometimes I write words twice for some reason. This time I didn't catch it.

reply

You are forgiven, but I appreciate the grovelling.

reply

yes I had a problem with this....

If fact...there was at least 10 different times where I literally rolled my eyes and awful moments and things that didnt make sense..

which Is very weird for me.....I'm usually can enjoy "fun" movies with no problem, Usually I have no problem thinking "Hey this is a no brain, Fun type movie"....and can just go with it...

but there were moments in this movie that were just infuriatingly stupid

I'm not at exaggerating, during the Intro of the film, when they are show dropping "Paratroopers into a zombie horde"....I was sitting in my bed alone and Literally threw my hands up and actually said out loud "WTF"

It could be literally one one the very dumbest things I've ever seen in any movie ever

But I must admit....I could be biased here.....even though I'm enjoy many of Zack Snyder's films...

I think Its possible I've Grown to Hate him and May be Judging him and his movies somewhat unfairly ....ever since watching BvS in theaters and Literally having the single worst movie experience of my life and experiencing Snyder FAIL on a never before seen scale with BvS and JL....I do find myself overly Hating Snyder's Bad Movies....

I'm a Huge fan of Dawn of The Dead, 300 and Man Of Steel(even though MOS has huge problems)

and I like Watchmen and The Snyder Cut of Justice League

but BvS, Justice League The Theatrical Cut and Now Army of The Dead are just awful IMO

I do believe if Maybe 5 or 6 of The Infuriatingly stupid Moments of Army of The Dead were taken out, I Meant be able to at least enjoy it...

overall though, It just seem Snyder had a decent idea for a "different type of Zombie"(smarter, more powerful, faster and A "Leader" of an army) and then wrote an awful story and movie around it....Im also shocked at how cheap the movie looked, It didnt remotely look like a Snyder film...

I read one possible explanation for that is the paratrooper meant to land on the rooftops but accidentally clipped the side of a building and landed in the wrong area. Although if he really did hit a building, I feel like the parachute wouldn't drop him so gracefully at all.

reply

Personally, I think the only reason for the paratroopers was someone, maybe Snyder thought it would look cool. Covered by the parachute, then blood spray etc.

reply

Correct.

reply

I think you are right, when a base jumper doesn't get far enough from the building it doesn't usually end with them gracefully gliding down it normally ends with them plummeting down in a tangle shoot that ends with the jumper badly injured or dead.

reply

But why would they be sending paratroopers in to a city overrun with zombies anyway?? Napalm them from the air first(instead of afterwards). In what kind of situation in any conventional war would the military parachute soldiers into the middle of hordes of enemy combatants??? duuuuhhhh....

reply

Another explanation I read is that they might've tried to drop a lot of snipers or soldiers onto roofs, to thin out the herds or provide reports on their behavior and growing numbers. On one hand, they'd be able to take free potshots all day long at the zombies with government-supplied unlimited ammo, and the zombies would not be able to shoot back (at least I'm pretty sure they can't).

However, a problem with that theory is, why not just drop them onto a rooftop with a helicopter? There are plenty of helipads in Las Vegas.

It's fun to speculate with these movies, but it also pains one to realize Snyder fills his movies with lots of inane stuff. This movie could've and should've been so much better.

reply

You don't even need helipads. You can let shooters in the roof using a rope.

I think that's the way Snyder works. He has some wonderful visual ideas and then writes a shitty story around them. Every Snyder movie has some visual moments when you think "this guy is a genius"... and then you remember how shitty is the rest of the movie.

reply

Could tell the movie was going to be stupid after the soldiers at the start didn't notice a car coming towards them with its headlights shining in their face.

reply

Indeed. I found that extremely infuriating too. Though it does set the level of dumb right off the bat.

reply

Yes, Hack Snydertard did establish the dumb right off the bat but after the excruciatingly long title sequence with the worst fucking song I've ever heard, it starts taking itself super seriously like its a straight action movie. The tone was off. Zombieland was a fucking masterpiece compared to this crap.

reply

never mind the fact that when the government transports nuclear waste it is done in a truck that is capable of being hit by a train and not leaking the cargo... yet here they were transporting unstoppable zombies and they used a truck that was little more than closed cattle car.

reply

Yup. And a door that unlocks if the container falls off the truck...

reply

Yup. And a hulk-like zombie that was put into that container without being heavily held by no chains AT ALL

They could have carried it all to the roof, secured it so zombies didn't get onto it, and then did made several trips?

reply

Several trips...in a Helicopter that by all appearances should not be flight capable.

Also, they established that you can't fly into the city. Not sure how one way no fly zones are enforced, but whatever. This movie is loaded with plot holes.

reply

I guess none of them really expected for all to make the trip back and to haul all the money. Probably they would had been ok with just 2-3 leaving alive with 5-10 mills ...
