Anyone else love this film?

I can watch any of the scenes any time. It's a masterpiece.

Just saw it on Netflix streaming. Loved it. Went back and watched key scenes (especially the opening and closing.) it has its flaws, but the ratio of brilliance is very high. And it is so full of life that I could rewatch many more times.

I've seen it a half dozen times -- gets better with each viewing. As beautiful and elusive as a swarm of butterflies.

Does anyone know the song playing during the barber shop scene? It doesn't appear to be credited.

Interesting that the OP wrote:

I feel that had I previously watched most any of the scenes in isolation, I would have thought to myself "That looks terrific, I cannot wait to see the complete film".

Well, I did watch it late last night when very tired. I was disappointed overall and annoyed by certain aspects, but I was left with the impression I had been watching something weighty and subtle. The question was whether it all hung together beyond a series of brilliantly scripted and acted vignettes.

I need to watch it again with a fresher mind. Maybe I will then agree with the OP that it is indeed a masterpiece. For the time being, "my" jury is out.
