Genuine heckler or scripted ?

Went to see Fame on the first night of the Hammersmith run in London. About 2 minutes in a bloke came to the front of the stage and gave Ricky some cards he wanted him to read out. Ricky basically called him a *beep* and told him to sit down then some bouncers came in and stood quietly at the end of this bloke's row. Ricky took the cards and left them on the stage but ignored them. After the show he came back on for the encore and read them out. They were funny but it left me with the feeling that it might have been planned. Has anyone been on any other nights and seen this happenn ?
