I'm watching it now. It started at 2:50 a.m. I was torn between watching "Frailty" on the Sci Fi Channel or "Nightmare" on Lifetime and went with this one because it isn't aired all that often and might be one I'd remember to catch~if that makes any sense. It might not *click* with me the next time I see the title.

I don't believe in the notion that "If you die in your dreams, you'll die in life" because I've died hundreds of times in many ways, including a heart attack, in my dreams since childhood. But, in a way, nightmares themselves can cause enough disruption in my heartbeat to kill me, something I didn't think was possible till they had me wear one of those heart harnesses for 24 hours. When they saw the readouts, especially for one of my nightmare times, they put me on two more prescriptions. *SIGH* I guess it's for my own good.

I've had sleep disruptions and problems my entire life, and I don't recall not having insomnia, whether pior to sleeping, in the middle of sleep bouts, or one of those no-more-sleeping-after-this wakeups. I've experienced all sorts of things that I learned were part of sleep paralysis plus possible mini-seizures. Add to that mild narcolepsy, fibromyalgia and untreated ADHD, and I'm a real mess when it comes to getting rest. I must say that I've never mistaken my experiences for demons or aliens, as seems to happen all too often.

So, I'm fascinated by anything dealing with sleep. "A Nightmare on Elm Street" really hit home though the sequel was less powerful with Freddy fully in the real world. When they returned to the world of dreams and nightmares, they became more frightening. "Nightmare" should have spent more time on the story and less time on her hopping into bed with a guy; perhaps the scriptwriter couldn't think of anything better. Still, I'd like to watch this a second time.
