Depiction of Roosevelt and Stalin with Churchill?

Does anyone have any idea if Roosevelt and Stalin will be depicted by actors? I don't see any mention in the cast list. I guess Archival footage could be used instead. The meetings at Tehran and Yalta are pretty important for Churchill and the fate of Europe and I would think they would have to be depicted in some way. Thanks for any answers.

Thanks, I heard Brendan Gleeson say on Tavis Smiley's show that it depicts Churchill waiting for the election results in June 1945 and then flashing back to at least the 1939-1941 period. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Entertainment Weekly had a article on 'Into the Storm' and it had a picture of the actors playing the Big Three leaders: Gleeson as Churchill, Len Cariou as FDR, and Alexy Petrenko as Joseph Stalin.

in the preview there is a quick shot of churchill shaking Stalin's hand. FDR sitting in between them...looks fantastic!

I just watched it. Yes Roosevelt and Stalin are depicted by actors, the former not very well while the latter was solid.

I agree that the actor that played Stalin did a very solid job and the Roosevelt could have been portrayed better.

I think the guy who played Stalin also played him in a documentary called "WWII: Behind Closed Doors".

My arse "Let's go"...they're filmin' MIDGETS!

Yes thats correct. WW2 behind closed doors was a fantastic 6-part documentary made in a similar format to this but with far greater depth obviously. I would recommend it to anyone.

You will chillingly learn more about the Soviet Unions role in the war and its strained relationship with the UK and US.

The legendary Alexy Petrenko is one of the Russia's most renowned and respected actors.

I agree, although I liked the actor who portrayed Stalin. He even looked like him.
