Wow!!!

I've always greatly admired Winston Churchill for his courage and tenacity in leading Britain through WWII, and I thought this production really did him proud! Hats off to Gleeson for a brilliant characterization of him! I always think of Hamish from the movie Braveheart when I see Gleeson's name, but I have to admit he totally became Churchill in this role. I felt bad for him towards the end when he lost the new election for PM, but when the people at the play gave him a standing ovation for being the savior of their nation, I got all teary-eyed. Don't miss this show! I thank the almighty for the fact that we had such great men as Churchill and FDR as world leaders during the terrible and turbulent years that were WWII.

I agree. Excellent job by Gleeson. Loved it.

My arse "Let's go"...they're filmin' MIDGETS!

I agree too. Gleeson was quite good as Churchill and McTeer made a very nice Clemmie. Just wish the movie would have been longer. I wish more films would be made on Churchill and Roosevelt. The different facets of their lives are truly interesting.

Frank: Just a man.
Harmonica: An ancient race.
