Where's Eisenhower?

I'm slightly joking here, since I get tickled at those British who complain about any American movie about the Second World War that doesn't include the British side of the war. Still, I would have loved to have seen Eisenhower's relationship with Churchill in this movie, since it was so interesting how Churchill tried to manipulate Ike so much while a mutual friendship still developed. I was also shocked at how FDR's death wasn't even mentioned in this movie, which had a bearing on FDR's behavior at the Yalta conference. Ultimately, this all goes back to my main complaint: this movie is far too short to do justice to Churchill's conduct of the Second World War. Even two hours would have been better than the 98 minutes this lasted. I even think the seemingly cursory nature of this production had a bearing on the lack of awards for it.

A good depiction of Ike and Churchill's relationship is depicted in the A & E movie 'Ike: Countdown to D-Day'.

Be 'tickled' as much as you want. The Second World War began in September 1939 and for the next 27 months while the USA was contributory in many ways with supplies, food, etc. your comment is very derogatory to the efforts and sacrifices made by the British, French, Polish, Dutch and other nations and any attempt by anybody to make a WWII movie without acknowledging those sacrifices is, and will always be, incomplete. Furthermore, How could FDR's death have affected the Yalta conference if it had not happened yet??? Your commentary is sadly lacking in many things.
