I think everyone in the west is getting bored of the eastern blocks of political voting, so what do people think of this idea? All the countries in the commonwealth in a song contest, so it would also be expanding horizons, and hopefully no more tactical voting.

I don't think the Aussies would ever vote for us, even if we were represented by a fit Sheila with her kit off. And wouldn't we have to sit through about fifty loads of bongo bongo music. After that lot even Scooch would sound good.

What about if we stop countries voting for their friends by allowing them only to vote for countries that they have been at war with sometime in the last century. OK the Swiss would be buggered but serves them right for being serial pacifists.

A Commonwealth Song Contest would be fun. I don't think Terry Wogam will go back next year. The political voting really pissed him off this year. I also don't think any more western contries should send acts. Let the Eastern Block have a contest. We send talent and we come in last because the countries breaking away from Russia, like Terry said. Want their oil and electric to flow from Russia so they vote for them
