Two main boys have Canadian accents

These kids supposedly just moved from LA to Canada and hate Canada, but both of the boys have strong Canadian accents at times--especially the oldest one. What's that all aboot? Maybe they should have hired some American actors to play the kids?!

the acting in this movie was horrible. It doesn't deserve any praise at all. The two boys were horrible. Cameron Bright should find another line of work and Matthew Knight is just creepy. His face gets all distorted when he talks and his acting is pretty bad. I sure they could have gotten some better actors.

I think you're crazy. He is not "creepy" at all. I think maybe your mother should have taught you that " If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." You are entitled to your opinion. Unfortunately for you, no one cares what it is.

I think absolute pepper is just trying to trash the competition. She is all over Alex Conti's message board. It sure looks suspiciously like she's biased like maybe "family"? Right now she's flogging Alex for New Moon. Look who just booked the part ? Cameron Bright. I bet these 2 Canadian name actors book parts Alex Conti tries out for. Sure sounds like sour grapes to me.
And who comes on imdb on Dec 25th anyway? You would think that they have better things to do on Christmas Day then trash a couple of kids.

Honestly, I thought the movie was pretty good. It's a family movie remember, and a holiday one at that so I guess the "bar" shouldn't be set too high to begin with. People are complaining about the story but I honestly don't see a problem with it. It was funny, cute, entertaining and I thought the acting was just fine, especially from Matthew Knight. Creepy?! People owe it to themselves to see Matthew's other movies. He gave a chilling performance in "For The Love of a Child" and made me cry in "Candles on Bay Street". He is simply amazing, especially for his age. I do agree with the fact that the "Santa's Village" scene when Matthew opens the red door was just plain odd and poorly done. Being familiar with film making myself, I came to the conclusion that scene was a very last minute thing. By the way, did anyone else think the song "California Christmas" was a Beach Boys song? It sounded just like them but it wasn't them, it was Billy Martin. This movie really isn't as bad as people are saying, give it a shot. And for the love of God, see Matthew Knight's other movies, you'll love him!

I know!!!! I'm was born and raised in, and live in, Edmonton and was an extra in the film when Carmen falls through the roof. I watched this the other day with a friend and we kept making fun of how the two boys had Canadian accents.

Cameron Bright is a horrible actor. He NEVER changes his facial expression ONCE and he mmmmummmblmms throught the whole film. Matthew Knight isn't any better.

I fight for the users.
