Is Edmonton destined to be big as a movie town?

Hey, hey, I don't live in Edmonton...not even in Canada...but I have a dear internet friend there, so the news that after Patrick Swayze and Carmen Electra's stint in the city making this film, a new TV series caled "Fear" is being scheduled to being filmed there.
Will Edmonton be competing with Toronto as a film locale?

I think so, I live in Edmonton and we've been getting alot of work down here. Right now they are filming Freezer Burn with Tom Green and Crispin Glover and before christmas brad pitt was here for the assianation of jesse james

I live here. This Fear show, I think that they borrowed my firends house for t. Im not sure but he said that he was having a pilot for a show filmed at his house. Yeah um edmonton would mainly be competing with vancouver, not toronto. And it'snot just edmonton all of aberta has been getting a lot of filming

I'm currently not in Edmonton, but my brother who is said that Clint Eastwood has been looking at Fort Edmonton to shoot a western.

As a lifelong Edmontonian, all I can say is....we're lucky to be on any map, period. Aside from our big mall (the one where this film takes place) and a few great summer festivals, this city has nothing to offer.
