This anime is incredible!
So far, this is my 2nd favorite anime after Cowboy Bebop. Woo-hoo 1st post!

Yeah I loved Gun X Sword. Those stupid reviewers that said this was just another mediocre mech anime really have no taste.
shareI bought it with high hopes. The first episode was awful, but the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th kept me watching. Then episode 5 hit (the Ray character is introduced), and it became evident how well done this anime is.
At first, I was put off by the style. I thought "this is just like s-cry-ed (which was a colossal dissapoint for me)" and later I came to find out it was done by the same person. However, I have since come to admire the clean look of the animation, the exceptional voice casting, and attention to detail that went into this anime.
I am looking forward to watching the rest. I was told this anime started off weak but finished strong and already I see improvements. Definately worth taking a look at for anyone who thinks they might be interested.
For me it was definatley worth it. I thought the first episode was actually good, setting up who Vaan is and a little into why he is on his journey. But it did get even better.
Your right Toast, the voice acting was top-notch both the dub and original jap tracks.

I was put off by the first two eps, I was like wtf is this? I was put off by the style at first and didn't really get the humor. It was after the El dorado episode that I started to fall in love with this seris.
Where it did it for me was the humor. All the fights and mechs were of course cliche in the anime world, but the humor is in it's own league. The running gags with Vans nicknames, him liking all the condiments on food, Carlos fromt he El dorado team always sleeping.
The episode "Light my fire" with the two love birds is what really kept me watching though, it was so hilarious.
