Thought this was - Any ideas which movie I am thinking of?

I swore this movie was made by a family and that the family did not follow up with a sequel due to a death in the family - I recall it being one of the sons.

However, after reading the threads here and the Wiki page , for Sarah Landon and the Paranormal Hour, I am sure I am wrong.

The movie was very similar to this movie though! Can anyone help me remember which movie I am thinking of?

I think it was family created. I think the family may have also done something with music and I am fairly certain it was a low budget , paranormal story, too.

Any ideas?

i know this is late but, the family did have part in making this, one of the actors did die and his brother also played a main role in this film. So you were right about it the first time, I don't know any other movies that were family made and stopped making them because of a family death.
